CEO

Darren has a background in general management and an expertise at igniting sales growth in technology companies, he has consistently driven performance at several companies as CEO, including Infoware, myDials, and iProfile. He served as Chief Operations Officer of Citect, a public Australian software company, building sales successfully up to its acquisition by Schneider Electric in 2006. Darren has executed several M&A events creating exit opportunities for investors.

Darren is also a decorated military veteran previously serving the country as a US-military Black Hawk pilot.

Filip Tack

Founder, SVP of Global Sales and Business Development

Filip has a BS and MS in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University and an MBA degree from Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School. His professional background includes sales, marketing and software engineering.

Before founding Nomadesk in 2004, Filip held positions at a leading telecom equipment manufacturer and an IT start-up company. His responsibilities ranged from engineering functionality on telephone exchanges, to sales and marketing of telecom equipment and "vanguard" IT services, to corporate communication.

Peter Geldhof

Founder, VP Channels

Peter studied applied Information and Communication Technology at the Hoge School in Ghent, where he obtained a Bachelor Degree. He has both a practical and theoretical background in software engineering, project management, IT service management and quality assurance. His expertise is foremost concentrated on the design and implementation of IT Service Management and Operations, both with respect to procedural and organisational frameworks.

Peter is an IT specialist who understands the added value of IT products and services to modern businesses and the role IT plays in the business environment.

Miguel De Buf

Founder, VP R&D

Miguel holds a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and a Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology from the University of Ghent. He has a thorough theoretical and practical background in electronics and information technology.

Miguel also has deep experience in project management, IT service management and quality assurance. Miguel’s key area of technical expertise is the design and development of client-server applications, e-business applications and business critical databases. He has managed and implemented multiple projects in this field.

John Filut

SVP of Product and Technology

John is a detail-oriented executive with a record of growing small software companies by focusing on customer needs and engagement. As the General Manager at Newser he grew the customer base from 15,000 to over 2.5 million visitors per month. John also played a key role in the growth (and harvest) of Hoover's, BroadJump, 360Commerce, and HighBeam Research. Prior to focusing on the growth of smaller software companies, John spent eight years with GE Medical Systems learning how to efficiently manage a global team as an expat based in Paris, Tokyo, and Singapore.

John has a BA in Management Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Director

Yves Michali brings considerable experience of the software industry. After serving as General Manager of Novell France he spent ten years at Microsoft, six of which were based in Seattle. Returning to France, he oversaw iMediation's product strategy and co-founded Mobiclick. He was subsequently head of EMEA operations for Groove Networks, where he worked until the company was sold to Microsoft by founder Ray Ozzie, the creator of Lotus Notes.

Alex Brabers

Director

Alex Brabers joined Gimv in 1990. As Executive Vice President he is responsible for the ICT business unit. He joined the Executive Committee in 2001. He is a board member of various listed and non-listed companies, including Telenet, Inside Contactless, VirtenSys and Nomadesk.

Alex holds a master's degree in Economics from the University of Louvain.

Aik Deveneijns

Director

Aik Deveneijns joined Gimv in 2009, and focuses on internet, software and SaaS companies. He started his career at KPN, where he worked as product manager and in corporate sales. His portfolio included security-oriented managed services and SaaS propositions. Before joining Gimv, he worked for Batenborch, a headhunter specialized in the recruitment of commercial executives.

Aik holds a Master's degree in Technology Management of the Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands), and a NIMA business marketing degree.

Yvan Morel de Westgaver has been with EDS for 20 years and became the Managing Director of EDS in Belgium and Luxembourg from 2001 until end of 2006. Under his executive leadership, EDS BeLux grew at double-digit CAGR over this 6 year period, with impressive focus on profit. Currently, he is active in Private Equity and sits on the board of different technology companies.

Yvan holds a Master Degree of International Management (MIM) from the American Graduate School of International Management, Thunderbird Campus, Phoenix Arizona, USA. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (BBA) from the European University, Antwerp.
