How Small Businesses Use NomaDesk
![]() |
There are different ways small businesses use NomaDesk:
- Small businesses use NomaDesk to create a virtual file sharing network inside the office. Access all shared documents as if they were on a real file server in the office.
- Small businesses store shared documents on a fileserver to access and edit the documents from anywhere - even when no internet is available.
- To send large files. Sharing large files with people inside or outside the company can be a big hassle. Some files are too large to send by email and setting up an FTP is complex. NomaDesk takes care of this: right-click on a file and we'll send an email to your partner telling him / her where to download this large file.
- To share and collaborate on documents. Very easy: install NomaDesk, set up a fileserver and move the files you want to share to this fileserver. You can then invite one or more colleagues or clients. This colleague receives an invite, installs NomaDesk on his local computer and can then access the files. All changes you or your colleague make will automatically be distributed among all people connected to this fileserver.
- As a hassle-free backup tool: all documents on your fileserver are automatically backed up. In case of a computer crash, you just have to connect to the NomaDesk website, redownload the dashboard on your computer and you'll be up and running in minutes with a copy of your fileserver we store on our local servers.
- Freelancers working in different locations use NomaDesk to keep important documents up to date on different computers - NomaDesk allows you to always have the latest document at your fingertips, both on your home computer, on your laptop and on the hospital computer.
